F1: Night race confirmed., motorsport news, results, features, teams, drivers, updates

The night race should be a great event and probably lots of events lined up before the 1st night race.

Will probably do a trip down south.

F1 race at Sepang is a good way to check out some F1 action.

Fly into KUL in the morning and fly back to Phuket in the afternoon.If the tickets are available.
Track is right next door to the airport.

Went to MotoGP last weekend.21st Oct.
Will be going again next year.doing a day trip this time.
Fares become available with AirAsia 9 months in advance i think.

I am from KL, went to the 1st race in Sepang and will NEVER go there again.

I rather spend my hard earn money elsewhere.

NIght race is a big attraction and I wouldnt mind making the effort to see this next year.

You have to be a die hard bike fan to really enjoy it.

But for 300 baht for a grandstand ticket,it`s great value as far as i am concerned.

I usually go to the GP in Canada because that's just about a 5-6 hr drive from NYC.

There was news earlier that Indianapolis will be off the schedule this year for F1. I was disappointed to hear that at first until I found out MotoGP will be taking its place

Yeah, i will be planning a trip down next year also. Prices of hotels will soar of course and it's already expensive enough.

You really have to be a die hard F1 fan to go to the track.
The action is very hard to find.I pass on F1 these days.Been there,done that.

I`ve been to 3 F1 GP`s,and about 12 MotoGP/Motorcycle GP`s since 1986.
F1 is not very exciting for me.The noise is excruciatingly painful.

Love the bikes though.
Especially with an Aussie/Ducati on top at the moment.

I used to go to the Dutch, Belgian and German F1 GP's in the past quite often. First to the race only, but later on, we usually went to see the training sessions and watched the race at home on TV.

We did this for a few reasons. You can follow the race better on TV. When your favorite crashes out or has a technical failure, you don't see him no more. And later on the admission prices where shy high. For example at Franchorchamps in the late 90-ties, one easily paid about € 125.00 to stand in the mud and see the cars only 44 laps.
Training sessions are much easier to follow also and there is less crowd, so smaller traffic jams too.

But I would love to see the Singapore night GP.

I was a F#1 fan until a couple of seasons ago. Am a MotoGP fan now, didnt go to Sepang for the race this year cause it was already won.

The reason why i said i wont to go Sepang anyway was the treatment they gave us locals.

Utterly racist treatment and lots more. I wont go into details. Lots of complains in local forums.

Also it's far and expensive. Ticket is nothing, but the added cost and the people who treat us. They treat a Farang like GOD and us locals like really poor people who cant afford anything.
