Its weird, why isn't Doc Rivers resting his starters. Come playoff time that may come back to haunt him. Anyway, I think a team out west will win the whole thing.

My guess is going for home court advantage throughout the playoffs. Also just to get these guys more used to playing with each other as a team.
With all that said an injury to one of the new "big three" would not be good at this point in the season. Did not like seeing Ray Allen hit his head into Perk's elbow last night.

actually, he does need to find chemistry with the new guys and old guys
one thing eh needs to do is give Leon Powe consistent minutes
he needs to shorten his rotation and there should never be a time when Leon doesnt play at least 20 minutes
by the way, i have NESN and Fox Sports NE
i really feel like im home!!
i woke up at 3am to watch sox today

I don't think so. I see an eerie simularity between this Celtics team and the 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers. Back then Moses Malone joined the 76ers as a free agent and teamed with Julius Erving, Andrew Toney, Maurice Cheeks and Bobby Jones to bring the 76ers their first title in 16 seasons. The Celtics last title was 22 years ago against the Houston Rockets.
What could stop the Celtics? Perhaps a freak injury.
YouTube - Tony Allen injury
Don't think that anyone seeded 3rd or lower will keep the Celtics out of the eastern conference championships. Washington however did win back to back games agains Boston in January.(Boston wins both series by 4-0 margins)
Detroits Flip Saunders outcoaches Doc Rivers to win the East. I also like the playoff experience of the Pistons players. (Boston still wins series 4-1)
The Finals, and who should the Celtics play but none other than the San Antonio Spurs who have won 4 out of the last 9 NBA championships. (Boston sweeps the Spurs 4-0)
What am I forgetting? Hmmm, how about the NBA/NBC conspiracy.(which kept Ray Allen and the Bucks out of the NBA Finals in 2001) "The bottom line is about making money," was Ray Allens famous quote. Ok, so then the Celtics play Kobe and the Lakers, winning a seven game series, and NBC gets higher ratings, and an additional 55 Million dollars in revenue for a seven game series.
I'm gonna root for the Suns. SW

Celtics are the best regular season team right now. They have beaten every team at least once in the regular season and have the best record.
One point to note when Kevin Garnett (6'10"+) playing defense got so fired up he went down to his knees briefly; all fours to play defense for a second. KG gets fired up!
With my home town bias, Paul Pierce is one of the most under rated players in the league for many years now. He is amazing.

The Celtics recent Texas sweep was impressive, as well as thier victories against Phoenix, and New Orleans. 10 games left and the Celtics are 57-15. Can they run the table and match the Larry Bird led Celtics of 1985-86 and finish 67-15?(April 9th game at Washington will be the toughest IMO)
The 85-86 Celtics team was the best I have ever seen. Larry Bird, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, Dennis Johnson, Danny Ainge and Bill Walton defeated the Houston Rockets in the Finals 4 games to 2. They posted 40-1 record at Boston Garden, best home winning percentage (.976) in NBA history. The Celtics had some sick teams in the 60's.(which I never saw) The best of that dynasty had to be the 1964-65 Boston Celtics. Bill Russell, Sam Jones, John Havlicek went on to win the Celtics' seventh consecutive NBA championship. (they won 11 out of 13 between the 1956-57 and 1968-69 seasons, beating the Lakers in the Finals 7 times)
Still going to root for the Suns however.(My team) If the Suns don't win it all this year, then the trade for Shaq was a bust. Even a finals loss against the Celtics, or Pistons(yeah right) will be viewed as a failure.

Celtics have now matched the total wins this year to the totals from the last two years combined. They have come a long way. What a difference signing a few veteran all stars has made. Certainly makes for a more exciting season as a fan.

how can you say it is a bust?
they got rid of a malcontent. shawn marion is only player i have ever seen(sure there are many, though) who happily went from one of the best teams in the leaugue to one of the worst
also, i think playing on suns will light a fire under shaq's enormous ass this offseason and just look at Amare. you see his production playing his natural position along side Shaq
that will be scary with a fill offseason and trainging camp

I only meant it would be a bust from a the play side of things. Shaq's contract expires after the 2009-10 season. So they have to win a championship now, before sliding into mediocrity like this years Mavericks. (OK i will take at least one championship before Shaq leaves, which would be one more than Barkley won)
Now from a business standpoint, the trade is a smashing success. It will most likely get some sponsorship deals with china, as well as add another 50 million in value to the franchise.
Cheers

see, thats the whole gist of the article
he was a much better player with even more potential
his numbers are pretty damn good
and man, that Fab Five was great to watch
better than these 20 point blowouts this year
the tourney has sucked
hope Dell Curry's son lights it up tonight

Mediocrity. Someone that can't produce in the clutch. The NBA's Mr what if. Can't wait to read next weeks article on Sergio Garcia.
