What is most depressing about the performances of all the 6 nations sides is that not one of them would trouble the Boks, AB's or the Wallabies right now.
It isn't sour grapes to say that Wales, to be congratulated on the Triple Crown, are just an average side working well under a good coach. Whether Gatland can take them to the next level remains to be seen, but the current state of the remaining sides is bleak.
England need a change of coach, and personnel, that much is clear.
Wilkinson appears to be on the slide rapidly, with no tactical nous for a stand off. All the old faults were on display today, stupid penalties conceded, lack of cutting edge in the backs, slow ball, aimless kicking from hand,...............etc etc. Its so depressing as a rugby fan right now.
No more comment from me right now, I've said enough.

A MUCH BETTER showing from scotland today could it have been down to the inclusion of graham morrison/simon taylor/ally hogg 3 guys who i was crying out for a after the wales game FRANK HADDEN I AM COMING FOR YOUR JOB MATE 55555555555.
AS i said a much gutsier performance but still the ability to break the game line and create try scoring oportunities was missing next season the two centre positions must be filled by BEN CAIRNS and graham morrison and the glasgow winger tom evans must be included add that to a fully fit sean lamont and rory lamont at full back and chris patterson played at number 10 and i see better things for scotland we have as good a pack of forwards as anyone its the backs where our deficiances have lain
agree with dawsey and the others who have slated the current state of northern hemisphere rugby its in a very poor state if there was an upcoming lions tour there would not be too many automatic picks in the squad.

It would have been hard to get rid of Ashton after England getting to the WC final, but jeez I wish we had Jake White picking the team now.

I reckon if you'd had another coach for the WC you may have even won it.
Nice enough bloke but that's as far as it goes which I would say is now plain to see

No Tommy, it was because you were playing England.
Scotland are happy if they only beat England and lose the rest. Have you never noticed the Scots always raise their game against us.55555

It is funny how this is one game that the Scots will get up of the floor for..
As a spectical it was a good advert for the new laws that are being aploed in the S14...
The game needs to move on and grinding out wins is not going to bring in new fans...

I don't know what game the referee was judging in the Ireland Wales game, because it wasn't Rugby Union.
He kept calling offsides and other minor offenses when there wasn't any. Was prob t6he worst referee display I have seen in at least the last 10 years.
Still Ireland was very poor, and Wales deserved their victory.

I disagree, I thought he called the game pretty well. Got the big decisions correct.

I know that I am harping a bit, but the new laws make the game far more open as in the Saders, Force game.....

Well Wilkinson, among others didn't cover himself in glory last weekend. He has to be dropped (Balshaw, Flood, Vickery, Vainakola at least should join him)
Ashtons last roll of the dice before he either resigns (Like his shortlived Irish job) or is shown the door, whatever the result.

There could be a surprise for Wales and Scotland, but I don't think you are far wrong Jonny.
O'Sullivan and Ashton look like they are fighting to save their jobs too.
