Unhappy King of spin retires

Being a Big fan of the Australian cricket team and a huge fan of the great man Shane warne I was devistated along with many Australians last year when he retired from playing for us last year.
I have been in the UK for the last 8 weeks and will be a year or so. I was very excited of going along to watch him play while I am ova here. Only to find out the other day he has retired from playing cricket in all forms of the game.
What a great icon in the wide world of sport will be missed by many.

One of my favourite all time players, not just because of how good he was, but cos he always seemed to have a good time whilst playing ........in the same mould as Ian Botham....

loved some of his sledging also .....

Good riddance....glenn Bloody McGrath too....to have two genuinely World Class bowlers in any teat team at the same time was just not fair.

I saw SW's first ever wicket on English shores.

Believe it or not,he has decided to take up competitive poker.

I guess he learnt a lot about the art of bluff in his spin bowling days!

Maybe he thinks there are more "bunnies" on the card table than "batting bunny" types in India.

The flat and dusty Indian pitches are really hard work for a spin bowler.
