As of yesterday, Tiger's bookie odds are 7 to 5 to win. Bet 5, win 7. I think it is a bad bet. It's basically saying he (as of now) is capable of winning MORE than every other Master's tourney.

I've laid Woods at 2.44 and backed Els at 40.0 and 6.8 to place (Top 5) and Goosen at 30.0 and 6.6 to place.
Woods is superhuman but his start odds are way too short. Even when he wins tournaments he often gets off to a poor start and his odds go way out so you can back back for a free bet.
Had a little bit on a Hole In One too at 2.72. Rare for there not to be one in these big events.
Game on :-)

I like Justin Rose , who in the betting excluding Tiger you can get at 20/1.....
another interesting one is Nick Dougherty 12/1 to be best placed debutant...

Well based on the facts that Tiger wins 50%+ of all tournaments he tees up in, he's won the Masters 4 previous times, he has won 7 out of his last 9 tournaments, he's got to be my bet!!!! Trying to work out which lesser or less well known player will run him close over the 4 days is the harder one for me.
Also interested in the odds for a hole in one. Only because a few years ago a couple of guys in the UK, used to drive around the country placing bets and as much money as they could on hole ino nes in professional tournaments. They said from facts they had amassed that there was never a professional tournament where someone didn't get a hole in one, they made about £250,000 in 6 months, then the entire betting industry in the UK, stopped all odds on hole in ones!!! so interesting you can still get terms, put your shirt on it, shouldn't be able to loose!!!

See my post...I've already backed it. True odds are around 13/8 for one in professional tournaments so the Betfair odds are about right.
Those guys who made all that money about 15 years ago were going round small independent bookies who really didn't have a clue about golf betting and were giving them ridiculous odds up to 100/1 sometimes. They are a bit more clued up these days!
Stats say that a Tour player will hit a Hole in One 1 on average once every 3000 shots. So the odds of one in a tournament can be worked out like this...
4 Par 3's x 156 players before cut x 2rounds plus 4 x 70 players after the cut x 2 rounds = 1248+560 = 1808 attempts against an average of 1 in 3000.
1808/3000 = 0.602 so a 60% chance of occurring...so true odds 1.66/1...just over 13/8

Tiger Woods...... the rest are just making up the numbers....
Not enough superlatives to describe this Master in his own right....

No Aussie has ever won a Master`s.Would be a huge achievement.
Tiger`s odds a little too short IMO,he hasn`t won a Masters since 2005.
Anyone know Phil Mickelson`s odds?
He seems to bob up regularly here.
What about last years winner Zach Johnson?Whats his odds/chances this year?

Been quite a move on Goosen for Top5 finish without a ball being struck. I'm on at 6.6 and he's down to 5.0. Could lay back for a free bet but I'm letting it run for a while and hope he gets off to a good start and the price comes down even more.

I reckon that's the only time to back Tiger....once he's had an ordinary first round or even better combined first + second rounds....he gets his nose back in front at the finish more than a champion stayer (race horse)

Those are odds without Woods.
Right now if you have an account with SportingBet and can get a decent amount on you can arb Goosen for some free money....20/1 Sportingbet, lay back on Betfair at 18.5/1.

Just backed Woods at 5.0 so I'll win money whether he wins or loses the tournament...he's been as high as 7.6...and laid Goosen back on the place market at 3.0 so got a free bet on him now.
Got no coverage on my tv but can watch on StarSports on TVU online.

Nice one...if you're on at 120/1 surely you've laid back now at least for a free bet or to guarantee a profit. He's 10/1 on Betfair now...been as low as 4.3/1 when he led.
It doesn't matter who wins to me now as I'm green on all players but I'd make the most if Goosen or Poulter won...not likely from 9 back though.
