oh well a good result for the ABs....just one nights work and the Tri Nations + Bledisloe Cups to hold!

I was impressed with Jerome Kaino on Saturday, he put in a great defensive display and turned over the ball at a crucial point.

Kaplan pretty much took Smith and McCaw out of the game I thought.

yep pete.....Kaino is growing into his jersey very nicely....agree with your assessment of McCaw/Smith but looks like the ABs just decided to steamroll the rucks any chance they had...i thought that was where the game was won and lost really

Steamroll the rucks, that sounds more like a SAFA tactic..
But it is good to see teams being able to vary their play according to the situation.
BTW the final Bledisloe Cup game in Hong Kong is now a bit of a dead rubber.
I wonder if we will see a few changes on the park, particularly from the AB's?

AB's did it with their shoulders rather than with their heads "SAFA style" Pete.....

I would be blooding a few fringe guys for HK but NZ public wouldn't be happy with a loss under any circumstances.....they are still raw here

We do have a bit of a reputation........ Is Bakkies an enforcer or dirty player, just depends on your outlook. I would tend to go with the latter.

The Tri Nations and Bledesloe Cups would have helped. But I am sure that most Kiwi’s would give them up in a second to have had the WC at home..

Bakkies is both...and you are absolutely 110% right about the RWC.....it is still hurting here despite these trophies being won again...no doubt about it!!!

and Pete......Don't ever let anyone get away with a short call on SA holding it until after it has to be handed back!!!!

Absolutely right...
But I think that the trick is play the next four years like WC champions. Unfortunately only Australia have managed to do that ( I can't comment on NZ after the first WC, but think that they did a good job)
SA and England have both fallen away quite badly after winning the WC, but hopefully we will bounce back on the EOY tour and next season....
