Its a Draw 371-9
Australia got out of jail after being totally outplayed in this test.

Before this series started, the Aussies were asked if there were any England players who would make their team. Only Flintoff they said.

Well I would now ask,how many Aussies would make the England team?
IMO only two,Shane Warne and Adam Gilchrist.
Man for man there is not one other player who is now better than their English counterpart.Thats how good the English have improved against the worlds best side. After this series I would question if they still are.

One last thing, will someone please show Pieterson how to catch a ball, and no matter what, Geraint Jones is only the England wicketkeeper because of his batting skills. No way is he the best wicketkeeper in this country despite his test record.
Im going for a beer now

I bet there's still a lot of aussies up in the middle of the night watching that.

A great spectacle, and enjoyed by a sell out crowd.

A close series - on to Trent Bridge, thank Buddha we have ten days to recover!

Great Stuff

These two great teams, IMHO are very closely matched and this series is fully justifying all the billing it has received over the last 18 months.

Australia shall consider themselves very lucky to have avoided defeat here and had the rain not washed out Saturdays play then surely England would have obliged.

Any way, on to Nottingham for the 4th Test in 10 days..Same again please England

AUSTRALIA will now win the ashes must be terrible for England they should have won this test and only just beat us by 3 runs in the last one.
they must be demoralised, notice australian players on the verandah celebrating like they had won the game.
We wont change our batting line up (unless clarke injuired)and bowling wise IMHO gillispie career as a test player may be over.

Thats confident talk Cliff
I dont know about being demoralised. The game was drawn not lost.OK England should have won it but the weather helped the Aussies in the same way it has helped England in the past. It evens itself out.
The Aussie players on the verandah were celebrating not getting beaten. They had a lot to be relieved about after being outplayed for the whole match
Sometime ,the Aussie batsmen are going to wake up and score some runs (Ponting excepted),just hope its in 3 tests time. If I were them I would worry about their bowling attack. As you say, Gillespie is finished, bring in someone else, but he had better be proven or England have the ability to score a shed load of runs.
What will the Aussies do when Warne and McGrath retire

Got You To Bite Roger
Still Got Mc Gill And A Few Other Bowlers We Only Have A Squad In England.
Seroiusly But, It Was A Win For The Aussies Your Team Just Have A Problem Finishing Games Off
3 Run Win Was Very Very Lucky
England Better Find Some Bowlers Also Lee And Mc Grath Arent The Best Of Batsmen Yes England Should Have Won Not A Draw !!!!

Yes a great game.......stayed up till 4am....yawn....l stuffed at work today, red eyes and big bags under them.

Australia got out of jail......just imagined if we had of snatched that 2nd test, we would have been 2 up when we should be down 2-1.

Rest will help Australia to regroup.......to be honest l am not sure who is going to win the series from here......England however is playing the better cricket.

I would drop Katich & Gillespie for Hussey and Tait.......and Jones for a Wheelie Bin
