Don't worry Dodger, you are guaranteed a "top 28" finish, as 5 people have now dropped out, leaving 28. One of those 5 is still above you in the table, but you should overtake him this weekend
As for Viperman, he's gone off the boil a bit recently although he does still have both "joker-barrels" loaded. The current man in form is BLUEPAULLY who has shot up the table and is now handily placed. Also, keep an eye on "mr.consistency" peakay and "the quiet one" Whazzzup, both of whom are near enough to make their jokers really count !!
Good luck
Diz

Alfie is a cunning sort of bloke - I know his game
It is a brilliant gambling strategy, well thought etc. It is known as ''hedging your bets''. If more goals are scored than he has predicted in the individual games, he has a chance of picking up the bonus points. If less goals are scored than in the bonus question, he has a chance of getting the individual scores correct.
Like a say - the lad is a genius , but maybe 36 is slightly high

There appears to be a "glitch" !!
Since making this post, I have received 10 entries. Some were dated Monday, some Tuesday and others Thursday, so it looks like Yahoo have had some problems forwarding the entries to me but it now appears to be fixed.
In the past when I have posted a "Friday Reminder" there has been about 5-8 missing entries, but this week there are 18 at present. Perhaps you are all playing games in the Arcade, or maybe there is a glitch in the mail system ? What should happen when you submit you entry, is that Yahoo sends me an email and in it are all the details that you entered on my website. I did a test yesterday but it took a long time for the mail to arrive.
I have not yet received an entry for this weekend (22/23 Oct) from the following...
Dodger
Shagrath
sishow
Allybabba22 - now received
aussie dollar - now received
barcardi73 - now received
Bono - now received
DARBS - now received
Denver - now received
erik1 - now received
Mav - now received
mikegb - now received
peakay - now received
r3aps - now received
steve@thaib - now received
Werwolf - now received
Whazzzup - now received
Yahooka - now received
If you have already sent in your entry using my website, then please send it in again, either by email to football@dizbuster.com or by PM here on the forum. If you haven't already sent your entry, then I suggest that you do the same so that I am sure to receive it.
Cheers
Diz

The footy comp ??
2 reasons...
1. It would be a bit suspicious if I won.
2. I would be winning my own money which is no fun.

I have no problems at work when using IE, but have the problem when at home using Firefox which is the most recent version i.e. 1.0.7
I think it would be best to open a new thread in the Computing section, to see if this is a general problem and whether anyone knows how to resolve it.

Perhaps it's a "1.0.7 thing" ??
I recently upgraded and I've only really noticed this happening since then. I have looked in the Options areas, but cannot see anywhere or anything that looks like it would have an affect. I move my mouse cursor over the "Edit" button and the pointer changes, but when I click on it, nothing happens.

3 days to go and I'm bored !!
3 days until I step on that plane to LOS - Woohoo !! What is not helping, is that I am sat here in an office in Zurich with feck all to do and God I'm bored !!
To help wile away the time, I have broken down the bonus points totals from last weekend...
Middlesbrough : 15 points - Mendieta, Hasselbaink, Yakubu + Mendieta.
Barcelona : 15 points - Van Bommel, Ronaldhino, Ronaldhino, Puyol + Larsson.
Chelsea : 8 points - Drogba, Lampard, Lampard + Cole.
Juventus : 4 points - Trezeguet.
Borussia Munchengladbach : 4 points - Neuville.
Borussia Dortmund : 4 points - Kehl + Smolarek.
Manchester United : 3 points - Ronaldo.
Arsenal : 2 points - Pires.
Tottenham : 1 point - King.
Silkebourg : 0 points.
West Ham : 0 points.
Mind you, I suppose it was a good thing really as I have noticed that I made 2 mistakes, Middlesbrough should have scored only 15 points (not 16) and Barcelona should also have scored 15 points (not 14). As a result, poor old DARBS loses a much needed point, whilst BLUEPAULLY, Gez, Whazzzup and Yahooka all gain an extra point !! I am now in the process of making these amendments and the website will be updated shortly.
The names were taken from the results posted on the BBC Sports website.

An admiral effort on your part Diz. I went for a foreign team 'cos I thought they had long names. When you look at the premier league teams here, they are full of ruddy foreigners. Still 15 points on the lucky dip brings me closer to the beer money.
Man utd scored in the 90th minte - so the people ho picked them should count themselves lucky.
Have a good trip

OK, I'll rollup to 1.0.7 tonight and see what happens. I dont care if I break FF, as I dont use it. Only have it for development testing.

Diz, when you return to the UK I must PM Nicke and see if he can get your name back up as the starter of this thread. After all,it is your baby.
At the moment it looks like I'm hijacking your thread
After reading your trip reports, all I can say is its great to have you back!

As long as the competition goes on and doesn't suffer, then it shouldn't really matter. The main thing is that the prizes have now been sorted out and await the winner (and 2nd !!) at MTB
