As I understand it it now costs £15 for a visitor from the UK and this rate is up until end of march 2010

You understand it wrong. That £15 is an "admin charge" for visas staying over 30 days so the "free" visas they say they are giving aren't actually free.

You get 30 days free arriving by air without a visa...15 days free if you come through a land border.

Question

Hi there,

I'm a bit puzzled, you find Russia in 15days at arrival, and also under the bi latteural agreement for 30 days free.
Which one is correct, or am I missing something ?
Thanks

jl

On arrival, you receive an "entry permit".

30 day Visa (free) is a totally different animal. As in, you have to apply ahead of time and give specific information, etc.

Ok Pablo do you mean that you have to apply that one prior to go to LOS ,and if you don't you have to fill in a form in the airport which will only grant you 15 days visa ?
thanks
