HTML is a big security risk, I can turn it on but nobody do it.

It may however be possible to create a flickr tag with precoded HTML that we can use here, but to openly allow any HTML/iframe would be a bad idea. I can tell you more when I see your example and look how it work.

There is a plugin available for this, still beta but sounded like an update will be out soon. So I will add it when they update, I dont know if it support slideshows.

Also saw another plugin for Google Maps, so you can add a map and a pointer to something within a post, may also be useful to explain a location.

That would be very cool even though the google maps are all in Thai. Could be useful.

Sounds like by now you have a handle on it.. The example would look like

These can easily be created by non code persons using flickrSLiDR - Embed Flickr Slideshows within Your Site which does all your variables for you..

Just as a demo I put one up on my homepage Sefton Hanley's homepage of the trip last week.. I used a fairly large 640x480 panel but wouldnt do that for forum use I guess..

I am just really enjoying messing with the flickr tools.. They are a great way to demo and link to your images and collections.. Clicking a slideshow image links to the image in the gallery.. Embedding slideshows like this.. Its really makign me much more keen on taking and sharing my pics with people than I was in the past.

Anyway you say theres a plug in possible soon so superb.. Was mostly just thinking about it as a future cool forum mod. Will keep my eye out for it.

Did the plug in evolve ??

I am still really into Flickr.. Think that using flickr slideshows would be a much cooler / more web 2.0 etc way of doing picture collections on here.. Flickr basic accounts are free and once you toy with flickr it gets better and better..

So far for me its the youtube of photo apps..

I did a search.. Seen a flicker plug in (that puts them in profiles).. I didnt see one about the iframe slide show deal but thought you had one you were watching.. If not dont worry too much.

Sorry if it seems like pushing.. But all the evolution into slideshows, yourtubes, etc etc.. All looks good on how much nicer content can be put in..

I have had a play with a 100% ajax forum script.. The way it dynamically builds the page and does stuff without full page loads is pretty cool.. Definitely evolution of scripting.
