For Nicke :: [IMG] Tags ???
Any reason why these are turned off ???
With the digi cam thread I thought some photo blogging might be fun.. I know we can upload but 100kb is a bit lean for large pics and part of what I wanted to do was post full rez pics from phone to show phone abilities as well as pic..
Of course to use IMG tags it has to be hosted so doesnt use your bandwidth..
I use Imageshack which very nicely provides a thumbnail for forums that clicks to a new window for full rez image..
Just wondering if there is a reason (I know abused it can create formatting hell !!) Often there is a 'limit image to XXX' option within the config / admin panel..

I never tried these tags myself and I think somebody used it recently to include additional smileys in their posts.
I will check my settings...

Says IMG tags are disabled..
I couldnt get normal BB code to work with them and most BB code is universal.. Not ruling out my own stupidity tho..

Very odd... I could have sworn there was a message that IMG was disabled when I tried to image link files from my site before..
Testing thumbnail..

IMG tagging is turned off in the General, Nightlife, Expats, Mai Thai Bar Lounge and User CP sections.
In all the other sections it's working fine ...

Thailand-Photos.net Test...
Testing to see if you can use your own images from Thailand-Photos.net. This didn't work for me in another forum.

That should definitely work too Nicke. Can you look into fixing that as well? Thanks brother.

Hi Nid Noy, thats because your URL is a HTTP page, not the .jpg itself.
But I checked the source of the page to find out what URL to use, it should be
Code:
http://www.thailand-photos.net/gallery/watermark.php?file=545/8255P7250205.jpg
And it will give you
http://www.thailand-photos.net/galle...55P7250205.jpg

Hm, I have no idea why it shows a link instead of the image itself.

Yes, I did that when we first talked about this problem.
Still dont know why I can't show Nid Noy's pic correctly. It appears as a link.

my wild guess would be that it detects the watermark.php? part of the link and parses it as a link and command raather than a direct link to a hosted image..

You are right and I was thinking same yesterday, I looked at your post above and it also had a URL like ".php?" and I did not understand. Now when I check again, it was the URL, the image itself is a thumb without ?.
Well, I think this is a bug, vBulletin shouldnt parse this as a link as long it is within IMG tags.

If it didnt parse links perhaps it would be vulnerable to CGI injections and other hacks.. Are you not effectively telling it to run that php script on the server side to display the image ??
