A farang bar owner was arrested while "working" in the bar last week and couldnt show a work permit. This happened sometimes in the past but havent heard anything similar in recent years. So if you own a bar, make sure you dont do any work in your bar.

Finally, after a few years of construction and some problems with funding it is finally open. The 5 billion baht shopping center looks very nice and will be a great addition to Patong and Phuket. It will still take a few months until all shops are up and running. Don't miss the fountain magical show at 19:00 and 21:00 every day, its impressive.

 There is a new bar at the end of Soi Seadragon named "Raging Bull Bar" who have a machanical bull for riding. Its great fun, I never tried anything like this before and it is nice to have something new in Patong and the idea is great. Give it a try. Ride the bull look easy but its not even if it may look slow speed on the movie.
My friend also tried but he lasted for just 2 seconds.

Bangkok Post reported today that a widely used loophole used by foreigners to own land/house will be taken action against, which means foreigners can not create a "shell company" to own the land with paid Thai nominees to act as shareholders and who have invested nothing to facilitate the purchase.
So for the time being, this has raised a lot of questions and already stall home sales to foreigners.
