Early in the morning, fire broke out at the
shops/street stalls area along beach road between Soi Kepsap and
Paradise Bar. The fire smoke was visible all over Patong.
According to Phuket Gazette, a new multi-department
committee will vet all work permit applications in Phuket. All issues
relating to work permits will no longer be under one department's
consideration but will be overseen by all relevant offices; Commerical
Registration Office, Revenue Department, Immigration Police, Tourism
Authority of Thailand, Phuket district offices and Employment Services
Office.
US Navy arrived here again, another ship
was here last week.
Wear helmet! The police check
for helmet during nighttime now!
US Navy ships arrived today but I don't have
any details, I only saw the ships and soldiers entering Patong beach
around 18:00.

have holiday during January 21 to January 28.
Two US Navy ships arrived to Patong beach
but I haven't seen any soldiers yet. And, the traffic police announced
they will begin a crackdown on people who break traffic laws next
month but the actually began today! Many, many people were caught
by the police at Bangla road intersection.
From February 1, the traffic police will
begin a crackdown on people who break traffic laws because Patong's
traffic problems have worsened since police began taking a softer

license. A national driver's license is NOT valid in Thailand, altought
some websites/guide books claims that.
Children's day with many events available
for children and their families.
For the first time I heard about fightings
between navy soldiers. One soldier injured another one at Banana
Disco with a knife and another soldier fell down from Mangois bar
when he tried to escape from the scene, after a fight. There are
many soldiers here and most of them are very nice and friendly,
thought.
Today US Navy arrived and we have some of
their ships anchored at Patong beach. Rumours says there will be
more ships arriving to Phuket later this month.
The bars are closed due to general election
and if somebody sell alcohol beverages they will face 10,000 baht
fine and/or jail.
I am very sorry, this internet server had
a major server crash

This was a success
this year and we had good weather, last year we had mostly rain
during this event.
When celebrating King's Birthday all bars
had to close. But some bars on Soi Eric opened anyway and it was
very fun, WHAT A CROWD and MANY MANY PEOPLE arrived and had fun
until the police finally closed the street around 23:15. So the
bars were only open for two hours.
There will be a parade with gays and transvestites,
other events will be hold at the gay district around Royal Paradise
Complex.
There have been a movie team at Bangla road
the last two days and I have seen them at Soi Katoey, Soi Easy and
the main road, they had two trucks with equipment at Bangla road.
This internationally recognised sporting
event comprising a 1800-metre swim, a 55-kilometre bike race and
a 12-kilometre run attracts world-class participants from all over
the world. Qualifiers of the triathlon are able to enter the prestigious
Hawaii Ironman Triathlon.
A temporary market located at north Patong
Beach along the beach road. Loy Krathong celebration consist of
setting adrift lighted baskets of banana leaves on water. You can
celebrate this November 11 and Karon beach is usually a good place
for this event.

Today people talk about two thai ladies that
have been murdered by a farang man (farang = foreign) at a hotel
last night. I don't have any facts or details about this case, but
everybody feel bad about this.
We have Mc Donalds, 7-eleven, Burger King
(town), Pizza Hut (town) but now we also got Starbucks. Starbucks
sells whole bean coffees. I haven't tried myself yet, but I think
I will give it a try soon. Their store is close to Mc Donalds on
the beach road.
Today I celebrate my first year living in
Thailand and one year ago I begun to make plans for this website
and my new life in Thailand. Since then, this website have become
successful with 16,000 pageviews every month and I would like to
thank everybody for their feedback and support.
I have also formed a company, got work permit, one year visa, thai
driver license for both motorbike and car and I have met a very
nice and beautiful thai lady who take care of me.
I will continue to work on this website and make it even better

Patong: 6 pm on Saturday until midnight Sunday/Monday.
The ban covers all bars, restaurant, hotels and other entertainment
venues and violators risk up to six months in jail or a fine of

scheduled to take place from September 27 to October 6. Take a look

Ekachai in the center of Patong.
Many bars around Bangla road closed due to
this public holiday (mainly at Soi Seadragon and the main main road,
Soi Eric and Soi Katoey bars never close). Expect the banks and
government offices to be closed on Monday.
