is open since December and it looked nice, I have only been there
one time so I write more later.
Platinum lowered the introducing prices for bars to 6000
baht from 24000 baht/month for the first year. They have bars up
and running close to the main road but inside this bar complex it
is very dead and empy. One of the first bars that opened inside
Platinum has already closed down and you may see 'bar for sale'
sign on others.
I have seen flyers for the Fashion and Cabaret show on the second
floor during January but I didn't go. I am not sure if they still
have these shows or not. Oba Oba Showgirls is also located
at the Platinum complex and it is the first Cafe I see in Patong
and it looks like they target farang customers instead of the normal
thai/asian clientele. Nice place and give them a visit if you want
to see a different kind of entertainment in Patong with beautiful
ladies.
Other than this,
Patong were quite busy during Christmas/New Year and January and
also Safari Disco & Pub have been a great place to visit.

New York bar on Soi Eric have a new owner, the new bar's
name is Indian bar and is run by someone from Norway, if
I remember right.
 Today
it was also grand opening for VIP, old Chicago's Fun Pub
but everything is new and it's run by four people from France. Today
there were many people there and I think this will be another nice
and crowded late nightspot, as wellknown Chicago's Fun Pub was before.
It's located at the end of Bangla road together with Tai Pan and
The Shark Club.
Finally, Soi Easy had grand opening yesterday (Nov 9) and
many people came to see the new bars. But they need to do
somthing about the bad ventilation, many people complained
about it.

Easy Kiss Bar, Lucky 7 Bar, Joe Banana Bar, Bamboo Joe's Bar, Blue
Lagoon Bar, Saxo 2 Bar, Very Easy Bar, awasdee Bar, Good Luck Bar,
Blue Note Bar, Mangoes Bar, Gibbon Bar, 7 Heaven Bar, Bitchy Bar,
Aussie Bar, Chili's Bar, Freddies Bar, Crazy Chicken Bar.
The new shops:
Gold Shop, Pharmacy Shop, Baskin Robbin's.
 I've
heard that Easy Trading Group, the management of Soi Easy, had to
sell their lease of Soi Easy due to the problems. The new management
of Soi Easy is now the owners of Mango bar, one of the new bars
at Soi Easy already up and running. As I have heard, the bars inside
the building will open one by one as soon they are finished and
this may begin next week.
Pasha is the new name of old Titanic, and according to the sign,
this is a club and discoteque. I will check it out when they open!
I've heard that (rumours) the owners of Tai Pan now own the lease
of whole Soi Sunset for the coming 11 years. Expect changes
when the current bar leases expire in 1.5 year. (I guess his own
bar, Tai Pan, will expand even more.)
Also heard that some man from Italy purchased (leased) Titanic for
20 million baht. Titanic was a very popular and big disco
few years ago, we will see what happen with that place now.
Only one year left on the leases on Soi Gonzo. I've heard
that they will renovate and make a facelift then.
I noticed that The Spark Pub at Ratsada road in Phuket Town doesn't
exist anymore. The place look little bit different (from outside,
I haven't been inside yet) and the new name of this club is Dance
Fever.
Chicago's is being renovated. Rumours says that a group of
frenchmen and maybe the thai lady who owns the land is the new management.
The Chicago's sign is taken down and I don't know what the new name
will be. About the problems in the past; it was between the thai
lady who owns the land and the club owner. The story continues...
Flash a gogo had a special guest performing a strip/sex show
recently, a farang lady from Sweden. Before you head to Flash to
watch this show, I can inform you she left Patong already.
Stargate was a double-size bar before, loacted at the beginning
of Soi Eric, now it is a single-size bar and the second half is
bought by someone from UK. The new bar opened recently and is called
Euro Bar.
This month is more quiet than usual, especially when OS in Sydney
begun. July and August were good; in August we had many tourists
from Italy.
Chigago's is still closed. Tai Pan closed few days
in August due to problems with authorities. (Open late, loud music.)
Soi Easy have two bars up and running, both located 'outside'
the main building. Very soon another 'outside' bar may open. Now
people talk about November 1 as the deadline for the new street.
Soi Eric have expanded, they turned a diveshop into a new
bar called 'chi chi bar'.
